ECMIN V – European Construction Mobility Information Network: External expertise for feasibility study
Project ref. 101140165
Deadline: 15 August 2025
In 2009, the EFBWW and its affiliates created the website www.constructionworkers.eu, where posted and migrant workers can find information about wages and working conditions, (working time, holidays, wage deductions, sickness and injuries) in several countries.
Over the years, the website has been further developed and today it contains information about the applicable wages and working conditions in 36 countries in 35 languages. The present project concerns a follow-up of the previous projects and aims at building on the work done, with posted, migrant workers - including third country nationals - at its centre.
One of the goals of the current ECMIN V project, co-funded by the European Commission, is to enhance the protection and support of mobile and migrant workers in the construction sector across Europe, namely through the development of an alert mechanism for workers in distress.
To carry out this task, the EFBWW is commissioning a feasibility study to assess the legal and operational viability of establishing such a mechanism at the European level. This study will build on existing project activities and stakeholder input, including a survey with a questionnaire which was already conducted among EFBWW affiliates.
