The European Federation of Building and Woodwork, as member of the Construction 2050 Alliance, welcomes the priority given to the construction ecosystem on the new EU Industrial Strategy as one of the sectors that faces the most important challenges in meeting climate and sustainability goals and in embracing the digital transformation.
The EFBWW general secretary, Tom Deleu, stresses that “the construction sector needs to be ready for the challenges and opportunities that the European Green Deal and the Renovation Wave will bring. We support the green and digital transformations. However, this transition needs to be done with good working conditions for all and ensuring decent and direct jobs for everyone.”
