The Decentralised Thematic Social Dialogue for the Construction Industry” (DESOCO 3) project (Grant Agreement number - 101197494) continues the efforts initiated under the previous DESOCO projects to strengthen social dialogue in the European construction industry. Led by the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) and the European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW), the project aims to address key labor market challenges and improve industrial relations at both the national and European levels.

The project activities included a mapping study on subcontracting in the construction sector to assess legislative frameworks across EU Member States.

The Mapping study by SPARK – Legal and Policy Consulting is availabe for download below.

The Report includes two main chapters: the first one presents a review of the EU legislation regulating subcontracting chains and the use of TWAs in the construction sector, and the second provides an overview of national measures on the same topics in the 10 selected countries. Introducing these two core chapters, the present chapter shortly presents the methodological approach followed by the Study Team.
