The EFBWW and FIEC, the European sectoral social partners for the construction industry, have addressed an open letter to Ms. Roxana Mînzatu, the Executive Vice-President and European Commissioner for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness.

At the start of a new mandate, EFBWW and FIEC, invite the European Commissioner to actively support the social dialogue and engage with the social partners to address priorities such as :

- concluding the revision of Regulation 883, including a mandatory prior notification for all postings in construction

- technical and legal support for a framework to interconnect social ID-cards in construction,

- a revision of the public procurement directives that will address also issues related to fair competition and social dumping, with stricter exclusion measures towards companies involved in social dumping practices.

- labour and skills shortages

The social partners are ready to work closely together with the European Commission on these files.
