The EFBWW and FIEC, the European sectoral social partners for the construction industry, have addressed an open letter to Ms. Roxana Mînzatu, the Executive Vice-President and European Commissioner for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness.
At the start of a new mandate, EFBWW and FIEC, invite the European Commissioner to actively support the social dialogue and engage with the social partners to address priorities such as :
- concluding the revision of Regulation 883, including a mandatory prior notification for all postings in construction
- technical and legal support for a framework to interconnect social ID-cards in construction,
- a revision of the public procurement directives that will address also issues related to fair competition and social dumping, with stricter exclusion measures towards companies involved in social dumping practices.

The social partners are ready to work closely together with the European Commission on these files.
