EFBWW welcomes ELA’s new executive director

The EFBWW congratulates and welcomes the new executive director of the European Labour Authority (ELA), Marius Cosmin Boiangiu. We are looking forward to work closely and to cooperate with Mr. Boiangiu.

The EFBWW has high expectations and strongly supports the ELA objectives of strengthening workers’ rights. Therefore, we are willing and want to be involved in achieving this goal, so that workers are better protected.

We want to combine forces so that more inspections are made, and more cases are solved with the involvement of all social partners at European and national level. For this, it is essential that ELA becomes fully operational and we believe that the selection of Mr. Boiangiu is a step in the right direction.

On 16 October – the first anniversary of ELA – the EFBWW re-submitted ten cases of exploitation of posted workers to ELA. We hope to further develop and deepen the relationship with ELA, in order to solve these cases in good time.
