About the role of the Policy officer:
You will primarily (75%) support EFBWW's work on fair labour mobility, one of the federation's key priorities.
This includes developing the ECMIN project and website (www.constructionworkers.eu) and supporting the capacity building of EFBWW affiliates in Central and Eastern Europe.
You will also dedicate 25% of your time to supporting the organisation of the EFBWW Congress 2028 in France and activities related to 70 years of EFBWW.
You will work closely with the Communication Officer and other colleagues, reporting directly to the General Secretary.
Your tasks:
• Follow up the ECMIN project (administration, logistics, policy and communication)
• Prepare the first steps towards an EFBWW alert mechanism for mobile construction workers in distress
• Investigate funding opportunities to strengthen networking between trade unions and stakeholders in sending and receiving countries, both within and outside the EU
• Investigate funding opportunities to support EFBWW capacity-building activities in Central and Eastern Europe, including accession countries
• Support EFBWW campaigns and policy initiatives on fair labour mobility, particularly the Subcontracting Campaign
• Support the organisation of the EFBWW Congress 2028 and coordinate activities related to 70 years of EFBWW
Your profile
• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Committed to social justice and support for trade unions
• Fluent in English
• Good knowledge of EU institutions
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proven experience in project application and project management
• Creative and dynamic
• Strong communication and networking skills
• High level of initiative and independence while being a team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Willingness and availability to travel
